BS5308 Instrument Cables

BS5308 Part 1 Type 1 - Non Armoured Cable

We supply instrument cable in either 16/0.2mm, 24/0.2mm or 7/0.5mm dia in 100 metre lengths, although we can supply to any particular length requirement that you may have. Each conductor is insulated in polyethylene, pairs are then twisted, screened with aluminium Mylar® tape, bunched together, screened overall with aluminium Mylar® tape and flame retardant PVC sheathed overall. The cable meets BS5308 Part 1, Type 1.

- Available in either 1, 2, 5, 10 or 20 pairs
- Supplied in 100 metre lengths (Contact us if you require the cable cut to another length)
- Construction: 16/0.2mm, 24/0.2mm or 7/0.5mm dia Polyethylene insulated, twisted pairs, screened with aluminium Mylar® tape, bunched, screened with aluminium Mylar® tape and FR PVC sheathed overall
- Cable rated to +75ºC
- Meets BS5308 Part 1 Type 1
- Ideal for many uses including 4-20mA process signals

BS5308 Part 1 Type 2 - Steel Wire Armoured Cable

We supply instrument cable in either 16/0.2mm, 24/0.2mm or 7/0.5mm dia in 100 metre lengths, although we can supply to any particular length requirement that you may have. Each conductor is insulated in polyethylene, pairs are then twisted, screened with aluminium Mylar® tape, bunched together, screened overall with aluminium Mylar® tape, flame retardant PVC sheathed, steel wire armoured then flame retardant PVC sheathed overall. This cable meets BS5308 Part 1, Type 2.
