General Purpose Thermocouples

Autoclave Load Thermocouple

The harsh conditions found in the autoclave chambers of sterilisers require a reliable sensor, as all too often sensors can fail and instrumentation be damaged through ingress of moisture. These autoclave load thermocouples offer a reliable solution to the problem.

Available in thermocouple types T or K, they can be supplied as simplex or duplex assemblies and comprise of a stainless steel sensor tip, a length of cable inside a flexible stainless steel conduit, a stainless steel feed-through and then flying leads oversheathed with silicone rubber. An Autoclave Drain Thermocouple is also avaialble.

1 Thermocouple Type Temperature Range (continuous) Temperature Range
(short term)
K Nickel Chromium vs
Nickel Aluminium
0°C to +1100°C -180°C to +1350°C
T Copper vs Constantan -185°C to +300°C -250°C to +400°C
Temperature ranges refer to the thermocouple type.
The temperature range of the sensor may deviate from the above,
please refer to the product description for more details

INSULATED
Hot junction insulated from sheath. Gives floating output with typical insulation resistance in excess of 100 megohms

GROUNDED
Hot junction welded to sheath tip giving earthed output and faster response to temperature changes
