What is a High Temperature Thermocouple?

A high temperature thermocouple uses a specialised ceramic or exotic metal sheath (such as platinum, molybdenum, or tantalum), to provide accurate measurement in extreme heat environments, including kilns, ovens, and high-temperature industrial processes.
